I have worked as a Freelance consultant for several manufacturers and done some lectures on the history of toy lines and the toy industry in general. Got out of the Hasbro game in 2006 and just dumped my entire ACME character key collection early this month. I also enjoy collecting promotional Star Wars pieces that were not for general release or sale. I also have a detolf full of Indiana Jones collectables. Type of music you listen to: Jimmy Bufffett and all kinds of "TropRock" Car you drive: Chrysler Pacifica Family - I have a wife and three children. Pets - One dog, two cats, tadpoles, frogs and fish. I am also a mod on Banthaskull.com It's an adult focused collecting site with the offical motto of "Sometimes you have to swear when talking Star Wars!" A small but very knowledgeable group of memebers who know their collecting stuff. There is also a small koto scetion there inwhicjh I've done reviews on some of the pieces. It's an ongoing although infrequent series. Come check it out. |

Great review fo the Srong National Museum of Play. We have a family membership to it and we go at least twice a month. Currently there is a great traveling exibit called "Videotopia" that is made of of over 100 arcade games going back to Pong to the present. They had the ESB arcade game in which you sit in the booth and it was giving out free plays two Mondays ago. That was a blast. The museum is very well managed and the staff is really good at what they do. The museum actually only recently doubled in size a few years ago.
The festival at Highland Park broke attendance records this year despite the piss poor economic conditons. The lilacs were beautiful as always. However I enjoy the lilacs in my gardens as I get to enjoy them without the crowds.

Hello all ye fine folks. My name is Chad. I am 38 yers old, a father of 3 beautiful young ladies, and happily married for 20 years now.
I am a HUGE Marvel fan and fan of all things movie related. My collection varies through so many licenses and lines I can hardly begin to know where to start listing them all. Lets just say if it's cool looking, I want it in my collection. I look forward to sharing and learning with all of the people here and hope to get to know you all a bit more as time goes by. Family - Married for 5 years to my wife, Michelle.
Pets - Our dog Zena, a Pom. She turned 12 years young this month (and she is the source of my icon illustration!)
The collection: Is kind of weak right now, outside of my football related items. Besides that and some graphic novels, I have a GG Darth Vader statue, mini bust, and a Vader Kubrick figure, LEGO figure, and BK figure that breathes. Other than that, a MR Clone trooper mini helmet, BK Clone and LEGO Stormtrooper regular and black hole figs. Also a Koto Commander Bly. I am trying to secure a Koto Jim Lee Batman, as well.
THAT IS IT...sad, I know. I used to have so many Kotos, all the Sandtroopers, Vader, Boba & Jango, Maul, Clones, Bly, Shocktrooper, 501st, Sideshow 12" SW figs, and a crapload of GG busts of clones and sandtroopers. (SIGH), a move back from the west to east coast forced me to sell all these for moving cash. Oh well, I am wiser about purchasing since, and wait a very long time until deciding a purchase is for me or not.
